Kingsland sits at the juncture of the Llano and Colorado rivers, fifteen miles southeast of Llano, and TPWD lists it among the towns near Lake LBJ. Kingsland Lions Park is on the Llano River arm, on the north side of the lake, and the Kingsland Chamber of Commerce operates it. During the white bass spawning run, the Lions Club boat ramp in Kingsland gives anglers close access to the upper Llano above the lake.
If the back of your house looks out on the water, take one photo from the street and one from the shore side, then mark the sections you want lit on each before you ask for a quote.

A railroad town the lakes revived
Kingsland was first called Kingsville, for Martin D. King, who with J. M. Trussell had bought the land in 1877. The Austin and Northwestern Railroad was extended to Llano through Kingsville in 1892, and by 1901 the community was known as Kingsland, with businesses that included the Antlers Hotel, built by railroad interests. By the mid-1960s, the Highland Lakes had revived it as a regional commercial center. Llano County's library page lists the Kingsland Library at 125 W. Polk St.
Your roofline layout should show which edges will be illuminated. Look it over with the photo you marked before deciding on coverage.

Unincorporated: start with Llano County
Llano County Development Services says it reviews proposed development against orders adopted by the Commissioners Court, and that other local, county, state or federal offices may need to review and approve a project before it issues a permit. Ask the county at 325-247-2039, and any property owners' association for your lot, if your installation needs anything from them. Any submission they require is yours to make.
Llano County Development ServicesA dock on Lake LBJ must meet LCRA's standards
LCRA says residential boat docks on Lake LBJ must meet its Safety Standards for Residential Docks on the Highland Lakes, which cover dock flotation, lighting, access, anchoring and maximum distances from shore. Dock owners must also comply with rules for residential docks, including those from local jurisdictions or property owner associations, "regardless of which rules are more restrictive." If your property has a dock on Lake LBJ, read both.
