Landscape Lighting Installation in Austin, TX
TruLight Austin designs landscape lighting for the places you spend time and the details you want to see after dark. Light your paths, trees, architecture, hardscape, and patio, with colors that can match your permanent roofline lighting.

Drag the handle to see the same property with the exterior lights off, then with warm-white lighting on.

One plan for the whole property
A path needs different lighting than a tree or a patio. We choose fixtures for each area and combine them across your yard.
Tree and architectural uplighting
Aim compact uplights at live oaks, stone columns, and entry features you want to see after dark.
Path and garden lighting
Use shielded path fixtures to light walkways and planting beds without putting glare in your eyes or your neighbor's windows.
Steps, pavers, and hardscape
Build light into steps, retaining walls, pavers, pillars, and seating areas where a freestanding fixture would get in the way.
Patio and outdoor living
Add step lights and pillar lights around patios, pergolas, kitchens, and gathering spaces.
Color-changing scenes
Save an everyday warm-white look, then switch to team colors, holiday patterns, or a custom palette from the app.
Roofline coordination
Choose matching colors for your landscape lights and TruLight permanent roofline lighting.
See each landscape light at work
These scenes show how each TruLight fixture lights an area. The mounting surface, beam direction, and brightness help us choose which one to use.

Large architectural spotlight
A broad, adjustable beam lights tall facades, mature trees, and other large features that need more light.

Recessed paver light
A flush-mounted fixture for driveways, walks, and paved edges where a light should stay out of the way.

Small tree uplight
A compact adjustable light for trunks, ornamental trees, columns, and tighter planting beds.

Witch-hat path light
A shielded cap directs light down onto paths and planting beds while keeping glare out of your eyes.

Integrated step light
A recessed fixture lights the step below, making it easier to see where you are walking after dark.

Pillar light
A compact upright fixture adds low, even light along entry walks, driveways, and open planting areas.

Match the yard to the roofline
Keep the lights warm white for everyday use. For holidays or game days, choose matching colors and patterns for your landscape and roofline.

How the design comes together
Walk the property
We walk the route to your front door and look at where people gather. You can point out plants and architectural details you want to light, and we check where glare could be a problem.
Choose fixtures and zones
We choose fixtures for each area and group them into zones so you can control everyday white lighting and color scenes.
Install, aim, and tune
Once the lights are installed, we aim the beams and adjust the brightness for each area. Then we set up the saved lighting programs.
Landscape lighting for Austin homes
Live oaks, native planting, limestone, long walks, and outdoor rooms are common on Austin properties. Each needs a different beam angle and brightness level to keep the yard from looking flat after dark.
TruLight Austin plans landscape lighting across Austin, West Lake Hills, Bee Cave, Lakeway, Dripping Springs, Cedar Park, Round Rock, Georgetown, and nearby Hill Country communities. We choose fixtures for your property rather than use a fixed package.
Planned for your property
- Fixture choice based on location and mounting surface
- Beam direction planned around glare and sightlines
- Separate zones for everyday light and color scenes
- Written proposal before installation
Landscape lighting questions
We install tree and architectural uplights, path lights, step lights, paver lights, and pillar lights. We choose the mix based on your property, where fixtures can be mounted, and which areas you want to use after dark.
Yes. Choose warm white for everyday use, then switch to colors for holidays, game days, or parties. You can save your own looks in the app.
Yes. Your landscape lights and TruLight permanent roofline lights can use matching colors and patterns across the house and yard.
We start with how you use your yard and what you see from inside the house. Then we choose fixture locations and beam directions for your walkways, entries, trees, architecture, and outdoor living areas, with glare in mind.
It should not. We leave dark space between lit areas and shield the light source where possible. Paths, trees, and architecture get different brightness levels so you can see each area without flooding the whole yard with light.
Plan your landscape lighting
